Unhinged Lifestyle Boutique

Tammie Golden kept building her boutique through a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, encouraging her daughter Nicole to open a second store just months before she passed.

Unhinged Lifestyle Boutique

Tammie Golden had spent more than two decades in retail when she decided it was time to do it entirely on her own terms. In 2016 she opened Unhinged Lifestyle Boutique in Senoia — a boutique with personality, sharp buying instincts, and a name that made people do a double take. Her daughter Nicole, still finishing college at the time, jumped in alongside her from the start. Buying trips, social media, the website — Nicole learned the business in real time, and the two of them figured it out together.

COVID changed everything and nothing. Nicole and her husband relocated to Oklahoma, where she threw herself into the online side of the business, started buying her own inventory, and built a following through pop-ups and craft shows across the state. Two women, two states, one boutique — and it worked.

Then in 2021 came the hardest news. Tammie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma. She never stopped working. Between treatments and surgeries she kept showing up for Unhinged, kept believing in what they'd built, and kept pushing Nicole forward. In December of 2022 — with Nicole five months pregnant — Tammie encouraged her to open her first storefront in Oklahoma. Nicole did it in a matter of weeks.

Tammie passed away in 2023. She left behind a town that felt her absence, a daughter who carries her forward, and a boutique still running on the same spirit she opened it with. Today Unhinged has two storefronts and a thriving online shop. Tammie's legacy lives on, carried forward every day by Nicole and the love they built together.
