Ashley's Garden

Ashley Brownlee left a career in real estate to open a garden nursery right as COVID hit — and calls the timing a blessing.

Ashley's Garden

Ashley Brownlee spent most of her career in real estate, owning Re/Max Preferred Realty right here in Senoia. She was good at it — and she kept at it. But somewhere along the way, a different dream started taking shape. Her husband had been landscaping since 2008, and the idea of a garden nursery felt like a natural fit for what they were already building together. They opened Ashley's Garden right at the start of COVID, and what could have been terrible timing turned out to be something else entirely. A blessing, Ashley will tell you — and the years since have backed that up.

Tucked away at 132 Morgan Street, Ashley's Garden is the kind of place that makes people happy the moment they walk through the gate. All ages, all experience levels — some customers arrive knowing exactly what they want, others have never planted a thing in their lives. Ashley and her team love both equally. Her assistant Lynne Price has been there from day one and is, by Ashley's own account, a big reason the nursery has thrived. Together they carry annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, and garden décor — and they genuinely love helping people discover their green thumb.

Then there's the surprise: Mahjong. Ashley's Garden now carries Mahjong accessories, hosts open play events, and teaches classes — making it one of the more delightfully unexpected stops in all of Senoia.
